Kat Taylor - Editor-in-chief
Kat is a CCC Alum and has returned this semester as a Telcom major at the Auburn campus, and
she says she is loving every minute of it. Kat says she has enjoyed writing since she was young;
so diving in and trying Journalism seemed natural to her. In her free time you can catch her
doing just about anything and everything. Her love for music, art, tattooing, DJ/KJ assisting,
exploration, people, and design ensure there’s never a dull moment.

 

Jamie Blumrick - Associate Editor
Hello, I'm Jamie Blumrick, I'm 18 and I happen to be a freshman at Cayuga. I was a 2010 Auburn
High School Graduate and I've lived in Auburn all my life. I'm hoping that may change one
day...maybe. I am a Telecommunications major for now, but I love art, music and anything
creative. I'm pretty crafty. I don't really have any specific thing I want to do or pursue as a career
yet. I just take life a day at a time hoping I'll find what makes me happy. I will tell you, I am a little
shy, but don't let that stop you from saying 'Hi', because once you get to know me you'll be glad
you did.

 

D.J. DuVall - Sports Editor & Associate Editor
I come from a small town about 25 miles north of Auburn and 5 miles south of Lake Ontario. I am
currently in my 2nd year at CCC for a degree in Liberal Arts, and I'm pursuing a career in
Journalism. I am a sports fanatic and love watching and playing Football, Hockey, Baseball, and

 Jim Collins - "Cosmo's Corner" Columnist
I was born and raised in Auburn and have worked in the restaurant business since I was 15-
years-old. I currently work at the Inn Between restaurant. I have served in the United States
Army and retired early from a career as a New York State Corrections Officer. Now I am a
Telcom major at CCC with a passion for movies. I will go to L.A. when I graduate and try to work
in the movie biz-that's the plan anyway!

 

Angela Wornick - Staff Writer, Fulton Campus
I am 28-years-old and married with three children who are my world. I have been involved with
many Fulton campus clubs including Green Team, PTK, SAB and SGO. I am working on my
Associates of Applied Science in Nursing which will be my second degree from CCC. My first
was a Humanities and Social Science degree with a Psychology Concentration. I am currently
employed as the Fulton Campus Student Activities Coordinator. I like reading, writing and
softball. I would like to go for my Masters of Science in Nursing and someday teach Nursing. I am
very outgoing and love helping people.

 

Christopher Lehman - Staff Writer, Auburn Campus
I graduated from Union Springs High School in 2010. I am majoring in Political Science and I
hope to continue my studies by studying Law. I enjoy watching all genres of movies, but my
favorite is comedy. My personal collection of DVDs numbers more than 1,000 movies and I have
viewed most of them at least once. My favorite movie is Avatar because the casting was great,
the story line was complex, and the 3D version was amazing. I study film elements like story line
and casting in as much depth as I study for school.

 

Merritt is celebrating a decade as an adjunct faculty member at Cayuga Community College. A graduate of Syracuse University´s S.I. Newhouse School of Communications, Merritt earned her Master´s Degree from Syracuse University as well. A veteran journalist, Merritt was an award-winning broadcast news executive for television stations WSYR and WSTM in Central New York. Merritt is presently a frequent contributor to The Syracuse Post-Standard´s Spotlight sections and their new magazine, Upstate Home. In addition to teaching, Merritt operates MGM Word Studio, Inc., a public relations and graphic design agency in Central New York.
